Japanese businesses request $90 billion in loans

According to Bloomberg, Japan’s major banks have been receiving requests from business in Japan for loans that sum up to over 7.5 trillion yen which is roughly 90 billion USD. These loans are needed to recover from the recent tsunami attack that hit the shores of Japan a month ago.

Japan is still recovering from the damage caused by the tsunami and earthquakes. The damage is estimated at over 300 billion US dollar.
