Radioactive water leaking from the reactor in Fukushima to the sea

Japan’s turmoil – update

The concerns around the disaster by the meltdown in the nuclear reactor in Fukushima continue: there are now reports of leaks of radioactive water from core number 2 to the sea. The company Tokyo Electric Power Co is planning to pour concrete in order to stop the leak.

According to Japanese officials, early estimates of the damage done by the tsunami and earthquakes are at over 300 billion US dollar.
